The Osmo Turns Children's Tablet Games into an Interactive Experience

Osmo is an iPad gaming device for kids that aims to combine real world and social play elements, transforming the space in front of the tablet into an interactive environment. The app is designed to allow kids to enjoy tablet-based gaming without becoming screen-obsessed zombies detached from their physical surroundings.

Osmo consists of a base which holds the iPad, a mirror unit which attaches over its camera and physical play elements. Using the mirror and special Reflective Artificial Intelligence technology, the iPad can read physical movements on the surface in front of it and incorporate them into the game.

Osmo will come with three games aimed at children aged 6 to 12. Two of the games use physical pieces which will be included with the device.
