Kid-Friendly 3D Printers

The Origo 3D Printer is Designed to Let Kids Explore Their Creative Side

The Origo 3D Printer is designed to turn the drawings of children into three-dimensional objects. The printer was designed by Artur Tchoukanov and Joris Peels. The printer is designed to be significantly smaller and cheaper than most 3D printers on the market today.

According to the designers, the Origo will be as large as three Xbox 360s and as expensive as four. That makes the Origo a sizable investment both literally and figuratively as an Xbox 360 is decently sized and costs around $300. Still, you can't put a price on letting children explore their creative sides. The Origo 3D Printer is still in the conceptual stage as of this writing. You can check out highly detailed (they look almost real) images of the printer here.
