Eco Cardboard Printers

The 'Origami' Laser Printer is 100 Percent Recyclable

The 'Origami' mono laser printer is a completely recyclable personal gadget. Made of folded cardboard, the printer can be deconstructed and made into paper at the end of its life cycle. As a result, you can print while sleeping well at night knowing that you're doing your part to help the planet.

Conceived by a team at Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., the exterior of the Origami is made of recycled paper. Designers Min-chul Kim, Sang-in Lee and Seung-wook Jeong worked to create a durable and eco-conscious printer. Since printers generally waste a lot of paper, making one out of cardboard works to combat paper waste.

Origami is a submission in the IDEA 2013 awards. The concept printer won Gold for its ingenious and eco-friendly design.
