In celebration of it being the 30th anniversary of Transformers and the 20th anniversary of Playstation, next year Japanese toy manufacturer TakaraTomy Arts will be releasing a special edition Optimus Prime toy that transforms into a Playstation.
On the outside, the boxy gaming console will be uniform and gray, then it will be able to transform into the tall Autobot Optimus Prime, showing off his iconic red and blue-colored robot suit. In addition to this, the Japanese toymaker also has plans to introduce a Sega Mega Drive/Genesis console toy that turns into a villainous Megatron bot—which makes total sense, considering that the consoles and robots are rivals who are always at ends with one another, although one is more modern than the other.
