Quirky Olympic Art Projects

Sarah Hyndman's 'Olympic Logo a Day' Reimagines the Game's Rings

If you can't wait until the 2012 Summer Olympics start, then you are going to want to check out 'Olympic Logo a Day.' Olympic Logo a Day is an art project started by Sarah Hyndman that re-imagines the famous Olympic rings. Each day comes complete with a new set of rings, which are made up of everything from avocados to postage stamps.

After seeing the official 2012 Summer Olympics posters released last week, I have to say that these aren't half bad. Some of them even seem like they would make capable replacements for some of the weaker posters released (the poster consisting of the Queen's postage stamps would be especially fitting). Hyndman is releasing one new picture a day, which means that by the time the games actually start, there will be a couple hundred alternate posters waiting in the wings should the IOC feel for a hot swap.
