Luxe Cubic Office Towers

Skidmore Owings and Merrill's Building Boasts a Contemporary Design

Architecture firm Skidmore Owings and Merrill reveals its plans for an office tower in Chicago's West Loop neighborhood. The cube-shaped glass building will be a home to workplaces, as well as luxurious amenities. The studio visualizes a five-storey-high open-air deck for lounging and relaxation. "Carved out of the facade" of the office tower, the luxe architectural feature will offer a breathtaking vantage point to the West Loop neighborhood.

While the ground floor will be host to an event space— the "educatorium," Skidmore Owings and Merrill will install a tennis court, as well as a luxurious restaurant and bar for the office tower. People will be able to engage in a friendly match and other patrons can witness it or simply sit on the porch, huddled over a central fire place.
