Oculus 'Medium' is the name of a VR sculpting application for Oculus Touch that is set to change the way art is created and shared with virtual reality technology.
Some of the tools included with Medium include ones for smoothing and painting the virtual clay, which gives artists the ability to create lively forms that are shapely and vivid in color.
Before Medium launches later this year, Oculus gave a series of artists a trial of the technology. Some of the virtual creations that have been made so far include everything from intricate robots to realistic warriors and replica camper vans. To generate even more excitement around Oculus Medium, artists from DC were invited to sculpt one-of-a-kind collectibles in Medium that a few lucky attendees of Comic-Con will get to take home as hand-painted 3D-printed keepsakes.
