Traditional Techniques Applied to Modern Art Glass Forms

Orient and Flume Art Glass is a studio of four artists, Bruce Sillars, Scott Beyers, Richard Braley and William Carter. The studio uses traditional glassblowing techniques in combination with other art glass techniques to create vases, paperweights and sculptural forms.

The nostalgic artwork doesn't use molds, it is created off hand from specially formulated glass. Pieces from the glass artists at Orient and Flume are available online and in galleries and shops throughout the world.

Implications - Orient and Flume Art Glass originally developed as a studio by recreating the silver-luster and other aesthetics of classic artists like Tiffany, Steuben, and Loetz. Now they've managed to develop their own aesthetic that has people in the art world talking. That's progress.
