StudioBird Experiments with the Future Wagon

Nomadic homes usually come in the form of caravans, but Mathew Bird from the firm StudioBird has developed his own interpretation of what these structures of the future will look like.

Made from primarily recycled materials such as clothes hangers and even the rings from shower curtains, the Future Wagon doesn't look all that functional. Bird is trying to get at the fact that even in the future homeless people will be connected to the Internet somehow, so in certain stills he shows the person pushing the cart on his cellphone, checking email.

While the Future Wagon does not look very practical, Mathew Bird is more or less just trying to make a point about how society will like years from now. Apparently it will be both resourceful and addicted to technology (which doesn't sound far off). Photo Credits: designboom, studiobird.au
