Created by FŪZ Designs, the Noke lock offers an elegant solution for those who hate remembering combinations or for those constantly losing their padlock keys.
There are two components to the Noke: the lock itself and the Noke app. With the app, you simply pair your phone with your Noke lock; once paired, the lock will only recognize your phone with the authority to unlock it. When you're ready to unlock your locker, or bike, simply tap the top of the Noke padlock to "wake it up" and it will immediately find your smartphone within ten feet and unlock; you won't need to launch the app or even touch your phone. With the Noke app, you can give friends access to your lock, and even receive an alert if it's being opened.
The Noke lock is currently seeking funding on KickStarter, and in case you're worried about losing your phone, or your battery dying, the Noke's Quick-Click technology lets you program a Morse code-like password into the lock itself.
