Abstract Sneaker Art

The Visually Impressive Nike + Collab: Paint With Your Feet

When I say abstract sneaker art in reference to the Nike + Collab: Paint With Your Feet pieces, I don't mean strange, angular or distorted images of shoes; in fact, there's a little more to it.

Interactive artist teams YesYesNo and DualForces collaborated on an interesting art project called Nike + Collab: Paint With Your Feet. The idea was conceived to celebrate the release of the Nike Free Run+ 2 City Pack series. Runners were asked to record their runs and their metrics were then imported onto YesYesNo's customized software to create unique visual paintings based on speed, consistency and style of each runner.

The runners received a pair of the 'City Pack' shoes, which came in a customized box with their names, distance ran and run paths laser-etched onto it courtesy of Innovative Lab at Nike.
