Novel Irish Holiday Milkshakes

McDonald's will Release New Shamrock Shake Flavors

With St. Patrick's Day only a few weeks away, McDonald's is releasing several new Shamrock Shake flavors that build on the classic seasonal milkshake. While the original Shamrock Shake will remain on the menu, the QSR has introduced four new beverages based on it: the Chocolate Shamrock Shake, the Shamrock Chocolate Chip Frappe, the Shamrock Hot Chocolate, and the Shamrock Mocha.

Of the new Shamrock Shake flavors, only the Chocolate Shamrock Shake keeps the iconic bright green hue of the original dessert drink — and even that option has a half-green, half-cocoa coloring. The other three options look like standard beverages, however their flavors are what separate them from other McCafe offerings. Just like with the original, the new Shamrock Shake flavors will have a hint of mint.
