Nekobiyaka is a Japanese Café That Exclusively Boasts Black Felines

While black cats are often superstitiously viewed as bad luck, a new café in Japan is changing this stereotype with a dedicated shop solely for these black felines. Nekobiyaka is a famous tourist attraction in Himeji, Japan and uses its allure to increase the chances of finding these furry friends forever homes, since black cats have the lowest adoption rate of all cats.

Vistors of Nekobiyaka are able to interact with the cats to discover "that the stigma and superstition surrounding them is simply ridiculous." Thus far, 321 black cats have been adopted from the café, and each time a cat finds a forever home, the owner, Ms. Yagi, brings in another from the shelter to take their place.
