The house in Hanoi, constructed by Vo Trong Nghia Architects, is fundamentally a nature-inspired structure. The framework of the home is comprised of "different types of rammed earth" that may include aggregates of gravel, sand, silt and clay. This gives the home an overall earthly feel. To optimize the sustainable components of the project, the architects also incorporated a gabled roof with planters that are used to grow fruit trees.
In doing so, the nature-inspired structure does not only establish good communication within the landscape narrative, but it also gives way for an open garden and a strongly harmonized interior. Thanks to the gabled roof and its abundant vegetation, the nature-inspired structure also boasts a wonderful roof garden, which is bound to be an accommodating summer perk for the residents.
