DIY Natural Bug Repellent

This Recipe for Bug Repellent is Safe for Your Skin

If you love the outdoors, but are weary of the bugs, this natural bug repellent is for you. This life-saving concoction is perfect for people who like to hike and spend time outdoors, but don’t like to coat themselves in chemicals in an attempt to stay itch free.

To make your own natural bug repellent you will need calendula flowers, fresh rosemary, dried catnip, olive oil, coconut oil, beeswax, lavender and lemon. Once you have these items, boil the ingredients in a double boiler for about 30 minutes. Then strain the oil into a glass jar through the cheesecloth. Finally, reheat the filtered oil over low heat and add the beeswax until it is completely melted.
