The Naftalan Clinic in Azerbaijan may just be where you can find the weirdest spa treatments ever available. That's because this one-of-a-kind clinic uses crude oil on its patients.
There have been some bizarre health remedies out there, such as treatments that use chocolate, coffee and even red wine, but nothing compares to a liquid that is used to manufacture petroleum. Azerbaijan is one of the world's largest exporters of oil. The Naftalan Clinic opened because they have so much oil so they decided to find new uses for it.
Doctors at the Naftalan Clinic say that the crude oil they use on their patients can cure some 100 illnesses. The crude oil has helped patients with their skin diseases, rheumatism, arthritis and much more.
