Nintendo Announced 'MythForce' as a 2023 Switch Title

MythForce is a new game from Beamdog, the studio behind the enhanced editions of classic RPGs like Baldur’s Gate and Planescape Torment. It is its first original IP, published by Aspyr Media. The game is inspired by beloved 80s cartoons like He-Man and Thundercats, and features a catchy theme song that evokes the spirit of Saturday mornings. MythForce was launched into Early Access on Epic Games Store on April 20, 2022.

The game is a first-person roguelite adventure that combines swords and sorcery with gripping combat. Players can choose from four heroes, each with their own abilities and perks, and explore a procedurally generated dungeon called the Castle of Evil. Along the way, they will face various enemies and bosses, collect loot and power-ups, and level up their characters. The game can be played solo or co-op with up to four friends. The Early Access version of the game includes the first episode, titled MythForce Episode 1: Bastion of the Beastlord, and costs $30.
