Dutch Artist Collin van der Sluijs Creates Vibrant and Dynamic Art

Dutch artist Collin van der Sluijs creates multi-dimensional art that examines themes such as "the cycle of life, different species of birds and the psychology of beings both human and animalistic."

His art is presented in both traditional paintings and murals that adorn urban building facades. Much of Sluij's work consists of portraits of single people with distorted faces that appear mysterious despite of their vibrant color scheme.

Some of his work, like his mural depicting birds sitting on what looks like a plant, are painted in such a way that they appear to be almost 3D. The multi-dimensional art that Sluijs creates offers insight into commonly explored themes while also experimenting with distortions and scale.
