Lavish Tissue Papers

'Daishowa First' Has Launched the World's Most Expensive Tissue

You can now clear your sinuses in style with the world's most expensive tissue paper known as Juunihitoe. These tissues, from Japanese paper manufacturer 'Daishowa First,' are priced at $100 per box -- quite pricey for something that has the lifespan of a sneeze.

The name Juunihitoe represents the twelve layered ceremonial kimono worn by Japanese court ladies; the tissues, of course, are similarly layered. A box contains 144 tissues but 244 sheets. The brand is luring its consumers with twelve brightly colored tissues, some of which include sakura (pink), ake (purple), nanohana (mustard yellow), tokiwa midori (evergreen) and fuji (wisteria).

The tissues are said to be extremely soft and overall have a top-quality feel. The company has other up-scale tissues and paper towels, but none as costly as the Juunihitoe line. All its paper products are environmentally friendly and visually appealing with distinct colors and themes.
