Simple Repurposed Packaging

The Monolith Design Doubles as a Storage Space

The energetic startup company Monolith created this minimalist packaging to house the brand's solid wood replacement back panel for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Since the brand is just finding its feet, owner John Tolman opted to craft the product's packaging himself. He wanted to create simplistic packaging made from recycled materials that would still garner attention on crowded store shelves.

The Monolith packaging features little more than a small emblem of a mountain. Tolman wanted the packaging to be attractive enough to warrant further use and cleverly advertises it as storage from the original glass back panel. Beneath where the solid wood replacement panel sits there is a screwdriver provided for quick and easy installation.

Clever, cost effective and quite fetching, Monolith packaging is proof great branding doesn't have to be elaborate or expensive.
