The Mondi 'Hug&Hold' paper packaging solution is a sustainable take on plastic shrink wrap to help reduce the use of the material in favor of a more easily recyclable alternative. The packaging has been validated for automating packing processes and consists of two elements to provide a secure level of support for transportation. The first component consists of a 100% Kraft paper sleep to wrap around the bottles, while the second part is a corrugated clip to secure them together around the necks.
The Mondi 'Hug&Hold' paper packaging solution was created in collaboration with packaging specialist Krones to ensure it can be implemented into automate processes. The packaging is presently available for use with 0.5-liter to 1.5-liter PET bottle bundles.
