Compartmentalized Water Warmers

Modular Kettle Can Heat Up Single Servings at Once or Separately

Like many creatives, the designer of this modular kettle is well aware of the excess of energy wasted for the simple but common task of boiling water. In some homes and offices, water heaters seem to be switched on constantly, consuming great power with much of it being a waste.

Daniel Allcook's solution is the LUME Kettle concept, which is modular and resizable to cater to warming different quantities. One single rectangular reservoir unit can be sandwiched between the base and the lid, boiling enough to make a large cup of tea. To prepare enough for multiple people, compartments can be stacked, actually taking the same amount of time to reach 100 degrees. Each part of the LUME modular kettle has its own hot element, constituting an efficient and economical appliance.
