Environmentalist-Engaging Non-Profits

The Environmental Voting Project Hopes to Mobilize Voters

While there a few non-profits out there with a goal of improving voter turnout, this nonpartisan organization is trying to mobilize voters who would support green initiatives. Based in the United States, the Environmental Voting Project has a goal of "building voter demand for progressive environmental policy" and politicizing 15 million existing but inactive environmentalists. This number was determined based on the recent national election where 15 million indentifiable environmentalists did not vote. They also hope to make them "consistent activists and voters."

The startup hope to engage and mobilize voters by using social media, big data, predictive modeling and other vote-mobilizing tools. While the Environmental Voting Project does not endorse and one candidate or party, they are instead focusing on shifting the political landscape towards green and eco-friendly policy.
