Sustainable Mineral-Based Sunscreens

Lucky Bastard Co Aims to Revolutionize Sun Protection

Lucky Bastard Co is founded by Los Angeles-based surfer Chad Lieske and is currently boasting a Kickstarter campaign for an all-natural mineral-based sunscreen. The idea behind the product is to create a sustainable approach to UV protection and a healthier formula that is good for the skin.

With an SPF 30, Lucky Bastard Co is all-natural. The formula is sulfate- and paraben-free, while the ingredients are plant-based, vegan and include zinc oxide, aloe, sunflower, olive, and jojoba oils. Moreover, the formula is infused with chamomile and lavender essential oils. The manufacturing process is guaranteed to be cruelty-free and the cream itself is water-resistant. The sustainable mineral-based sunscreen is tested, made and packaged locally in California.
