The Microsoft Kinect Bacon Cart Recruits Hungry Computer Engineers

The Microsoft Kinect bacon cart has to be one of the most novel computer engineer recruitment programs ever. The cart served up slices of delicious bacon with all of the fixings, although it primarily hoped to feed computer engineers interested in joining the Microsoft Kinect team.

The Microsoft Kinect bacon cart opened for business in front of Amazon’s headquarters in Seattle. The promotion was dreamed up by the ad agency Wexley School for Girls, and came complete with a man dressed in a bacon-striped suit known as the Sizzler who hawked Microsoft's bacon and employment opportunities. Using bacon to recruit new employees is a novel and Internet-inspired approach, but I don’t know if it will do the trick. Microsoft hopes to double the size of their Kinect team from 35 to 70. That’s a lot of bacon.
