Foldable Microgarden Kits

This Innovative Design Offers a New Way to Farm in the City

Good news for urban farmers because INFARM, an indoor farming start-up based in Berlin, and Tomorrow Machine, a Sweden-based design firm, have partnered to produce the Microgarden kit, a new, innovative way to grow your own microgreens in your apartment in the city.

The INFARM Microgarden kit contains all the things necessary to start your own little organic garden. There is plastic sheet, which is recyclable and is designed to be folded into a greenhouse. It also contains Agar agar powder, which is a growing medium for the microgreens, as well as the seeds and instructions. All you need to do is set up your greenhouse, and watch the microgreens grow. According to information provided on the website, the seeds should sprout in three days in the dark and will grow into edible microgreens in a week after that (in the light).

The Microgarden kit is currently looking for funding to kick-start production on crowdfunding site, Indiegogo.
