The Metal Gear Bento Box Pays Tribute to 25 Years of Big Boss

These are the first official images of the new Metal Gear Bento Box. These pictures were snapped by the game's creator, Hideo Kojima, at Sony's Tokyo HQ. You may remember that Sony recently announced it would be making bento boxes to celebrate both the Metal Gear and Final Fantasy series.

In addition to celebrating the franchise's long history with Sony, the bento box also pays tribute to the series' 25th anniversary. According to Kojima, the characters in the Metal Gear Bento Box are made up of mashed potatoes (the faces), green onions (hair and beards), quail eggs (the eyes) and tapioca (the coloring for the eyes). Here's hoping that Sony releases these delicious tributes in the U.S.
