When you put a smooth metal casing on furniture it takes the furniture from being contemporary, to being relentlessly cool. This furniture set by Naihan Li takes your average furniture and encases it in a rugged metal box.
The furniture set is called ‘Crates’ and they’re all mobile pieces. The interesting part of the series is that the inside of the furniture all feature different functions and aspects that are all completely concealed by the metal casing. There’s a bookshelf, bed, sofa and all other manner of cool furniture.
The sets all open up to reveal smooth wooden interiors, except for the kitchen unit. Whether or not it’s open or closed you’ll have a simple, modern piece of furniture that will add a rugged edge to any home.
