Technologically Desfigurated Sketches

Meric Canatan Uses an iPad to Modify His Photos

In order to add a personal touch to his photos, the Turkish photographer and illustrator Meric Canatan took advantage of the iPad to create a new kind of technological collage. Although it relies completely on technology, this art is certainly seductive and expressive.

Canatan used two iPad applications to develop the sketches; the black and white pieces were shot using Instagram, and then sketched using the Sketch app. The result is incredible as the portraits are glamorized by the unconventional touch added by the magnificent sketches; it's like finding a well-done, urban fashion advertising disrupted by vandalism. Canatan knows exactly what to draw to transform each image into a new piece of art.
