Nike and Virgil Abloh Announce the Re-Creation Center in Chicago

A new mentorship center is set to be the focus of a collaboration between sportswear giant Nike and industry-favorite Virgil Abloh. The two come together with an idea "to harness the energy of Chicago to make the city better through sport."

The official name of the project is the 'NikeLab Chicago Re-Creation Center c/o Virgil Abloh.' The highlight of the mentorship center is its specialized program which will allow participants to work with 10 Chicago-area creatives. Nike and Virgil will attempt to host workshops and events, centering around the world of graphic design, brand identity, architecture, photography and more. Attendees will be able to learn from the experienced creatives and enjoy a panel discussion led by Abloh himself.

Alongside this program, the mentorship center will also boast access to Nike's 'Reuse-a-Shoe' initative as well.
