Monstrous 3D Murals

The Mehdi Ghandyanloo Paintings Depict Depth and Images

The Mehdi Ghandyanloo murals are set in Tehran. It is there that the artist has managed to depict monstrous images of bicyclers, balloons and giant clouds, enabling the regions crowded streets to become all the more artistic and imaginative.

In many of Ghandyanloo's paintings, the persons he depicts appear three-dimensional as they pop out of the walls and sides of buildings. The giant pieces also interact deliberately with the surrounding environment. Faux drops of rain appear to fall from the sky, providing a playful take on the landscape and its relationship with the pictures.

Thus far, Ghandyanloo has orchestrated over 100 murals. Given his apparent talent, it is likely that he will continue to beautify the city.
