Drug-Delivering Binkies

Nicolas Moussallem Creates Medicinal Pacifiers for Fussy Babies

Nicolas Moussallem has created some interesting medicinal pacifiers that may offer a sign of relief to parents with fussy babies. Moussallem decided that trying to administer medication to a baby could be practically impossible at times, and created the medicinal pacifiers in response. He named his creation the Dr. Shuuuuuut, which holds a special chamber to place medication into. Moussallem says that the name came from a French slang word for "shhh."

The medicinal pacifiers are used by placing the meds into the pacifier and turning the cap. The turning causes the pill to burst into tiny pieces that the baby would then slowly ingest. Nicolas Moussallem states that the pill would be broken into such small pieces that the baby wouldn’t even notice them.
