This Furniture Store Partnered with Pinterest for a Unique Campaign

This media-connected campaign mixes online shopping and "wishlists" with in-store retail experiences.

The Brazilian furniture store Tok & Stok wanted to take advantage of the increasing popularity of online retail stores and content websites, while simultaneously remembering that in-store purchasing remains in demand. The result is their partnership with Pinterest. Hundreds of physical "Pin It" buttons are dispersed throughout the media-connected furniture store and are pressed on each time a customer is interested in an item -- and that item reaches their Pinterest boards through an app called Pinlist. The buttons connect through Bluetooth and send the item and its information immediately and directly into the user's Pinterest account.

This partnership adeptly couples in-store testing experiences with online content, making it an all-encompassing venture that also works as a unique marketing tool.
