McDiplomas

McDonalds Vocational Diploma

McDonalds, FlyBe & Network Rail are three UK companies whose training courses have been given accreditation for the UK's government new vocational diploma. The press in the UK have gone crazy over this story claiming no one will accept these McQualifications and they have little value outside the company.

In brief McDonald's are to offer courses that covers the essentials of running a restaurant and include marketing to customer service elements. Employees completing the course will earn credits towards the equivalent of a UK A Level or in the US high school diploma.

Not surprisingly, British universities will still have to decide whether to recognize credits earned in the new system.
