Speaking about the capsule, they state, "I love limestone for the way it is cool colored, severe, and visually heavy while also conveying buttery warmth – it has an inviting texture that reminds one of its origins in nature."
The collection also highlights some wooden tabletops along with limestone foundations to create a sculptural range of furnishings. Newins is from Southern Indiana, which is a region that produces limestone used for the Empire State Building and the Pentagon. He selects his materials and works with hand tools with no formal planning.
