Recycling can seem boring at time even though it is great for the environment, but the Makaon Aluminum Can Sculptures show that recycling can be fun and artistic. Makaon uses discard soda and beer cans to construct models of well-loved pop icons, like Mario, Darth Vader, and Batman. Some of the sculptures are quite complex, like the Gundum model that looks like it took a lot of time to make each individual robot part and fit them all together.
The different cans are used mainly for their coloring, but the graphics that appear on each can add an extra layer of visuals for viewers to ogle at. Pieces like these inspire us to be more creative and see the beauty in everyday objects.
