The 'JOUL' Bricks Teach Through an Interactive Experience

The 'JOUL' magnetic block toys are an interactive set of playthings for youngsters that will help them to gain a better understanding of how energy and technology work. The blocks consist of three types including generators, batteries and output blocks that children can experiment with to understand the principles of energy from different perspectives. This includes creating energy, storing it and using it by creating a basic circuit to accommodate a more interactive learning experience.

The 'JOUL' magnetic block toys are the design work of Anna Hing, Fabian Böttcher and Soh Heum Hwang, and are the winner of the 2020 iF Design Talent Award. The toys work with an optional tablet app that will further reinforce the educational principles laid out.
