Titled 'Yummy Moon,' this visual depiction of the lunar cycle was created by New York City-based artist and designer Yona Lee. Using a projector to display an outline of each moon phase onto the canvas before creating and adhering each cookie, Lee created this painstakingly detailed and delicious installation.
The edible installation comes on the heels of the century's shortest lunar eclipse, which took place on April 4, 2015. However, this installation may not be built to last, given the likelihood that the featured Nilla Wafers will eventually age past their prime.
Yona Lee has also created the Pantone clock, which gives a color value to each time of day, and conceptual work involving book covers.
