Smartphone-Customizable Shirts

LUM Apparel Lets You Design Glow in the Dark Clothing

LUM Apparel is nothing short of epic. The Kickstarter-funded clothing company has created customizable glow-in-the-dark clothing. Temporary designs can be printed onto its tank using only the light from your cellphone or table. The tank tops are treated with a special type of paint that allows you to print temporary designs on them. Designs are brightest during the first five minutes of being applied but don’t fully fade until about 15 minutes later.

You can use the LED light from your smartphone or a laser to draw messages on your shirt. You can even take photos from your phone or tablet and print them onto your LUM Apparel tank. All you need to do is take your light source, press it up against the shirt, and then get creative. Designs can even be erased by swiping your hand across them while your light source is a few inches away.

Unsurprisingly, LUM Apparel has reached its full funding goal and then some. Check out the video here to see the shirts in action.
