Boomer-Showcasing Exhibits

The Local Exhibition Features Portraits of Sioux Falls Baby Boomers

A local exhibition in Sioux Falls, South Dakota features portraits of baby boomer natives. The art exhibit (which opened last Saturday, March 21st, 2015) is taking place at the Washington Pavilion and showcases residents of Sioux Falls born in between the years 1946 and 1964. The gallery was inspired by the PBS program 'American Masters: The Boomer List' -- a list of boomers throughout the United States. The local exhibition (called 'The Boomer List: Sioux Falls') contains portraits of notable citizens in the area who made a significant impact on the community.

This generation represents increased population growth following World War II and has seen a remarkable amount of change take place. Author Tim O'Brien offers "We watched the Apollo moon landing when Neil Armstrong landed on the moon and so we have a shared experience about the progress, really, that's been made over the last 45 years."
