The Living Christmas Company Provides Eco-Friendly Festivity

Having a Christmas tree contributes to merriment and holiday spirit, but your seemingly innocent merriment and holiday spirit comes at the cost of millions of trees being discarded come January. The Living Christmas Company, founded by Scott Martin, aims to defy this tradition by renting ‘living’ trees to Los Angeles residents.

The trees are transplanted from their roots and put into pots that keep them alive. When the holidays are over, the Living Christmas Company picks up the trees from the renters and replant and nuture them until the following year (when, I assume, they will be rented out again).
