Popular dating app The League is hoping to recreate the experience of meeting someone new at a party or bar with its new live video feature, 'League Live.'
Starting on December 1st, The League users will be able to test out a new video feature called League Live that allows them to go on mini 2-minute video chats with other users. Basically the digital version of a speed dating event, League Live only takes place on Sundays at 9 p.m. and anyone who signs up will be given three video dates. These dates are determined by pairing two users based on their location and preferences. Each date is also started with an on-screen icebreaker to get the conversation going. At the end of the call, users can 'heart' one another if they would like to be officially matched up.
With this new feature, The League aims to help users "say goodbye to bad first dates" by giving them a quick way to gauge interest.
