With a layered collection that predominately boasts vibrant and traditional geometric patterns, sacai presents its Spring/Summer 2019 capsule of menswear and its pre-Spring 2019 for women. Designer Chitose Abe truly aimed to redefine the use of season-specific fabrics and it became apparent as the models hit the catwalk during Paris Fashion Week.
sacai made progressive use of heavy fabrics — like Pendleton's South West American-style blankets. The materials are carefully draped and integrated as a fundamental component of the layered collection for summer. The two debuting clothing lines drew attention with a meticulous deconstruction of denim, as well. With a "cross-pollination of influences," Chitose Abe puts emphasis on military-inspired apparel, asymmetrical outerwear and season-fluid clothing pieces.
