Modular Modern Youth Hostels

The Laval Youth Hostel Features Unique Visual Architecture

The Laval Youth Hostel in Bayreuth, Germany was created by the Berlin-based design studio Laboratory for Visual Architecture.

The building features a Y-shaped structure, with a harmonious floor plan that flows between the 45 guest rooms and 180 beds. The central atrium holds the kitchen, dining room and amphitheater for movies and performances. With broad timber terraces that lead to activity zones and sports fields, the hostel promotes accessibility and interaction without sacrificing any privacy. The space was created with a mix of sustainable and recyclable materials and concrete with a yellow and green color scheme.

The custom made, modular furniture at the Laval Youth Hostel offers a comfortable stay at an affordable price for young travelers.
