Laurence Demaison's photographic work is quite possibly the weirdest thing I have come across in a long time. Her work is exclusively of self portraits unlike any other you've ever seen.
These photographs may look like they are bombarded with digital effects, but they are not made through this process.
Laurence Demaison plays with film photography and also with the idea of photography. She takes full advantage of only showing what the camera lens sees (sometimes over long periods of exposure) as opposed to what only the human eye cannot or doesn't see. This photographer pre-visualizes each of her images in different ways, and then lets her creative mind go to work.
As you can see, these photographs are very dark and somewhat horrifying.
