This photo series by Lauren Hillebrandt depicts fruit and vegetables in provocative and sexually suggestive scenes. Produce is typically known for its phallic shaping and so it was somewhat of a smooth and obvious transition. Someone had to do it right?
The series is called Just Fruits and which is a witty title despite it containing at least one vegetable. Lauren Hillebrandt has said that she created this series because she was bored. It features a variety of anthropomorphised produce performing sexual acts. Food is pretty appetizing enough as it is, but this series takes it to the next level. If there weren't strict advertising laws in North America, this technique could potentially be successful in helping fruit and veggies fly off the shelves.
