Artistic Thumbprint Macarons

These Special-Edition Ladurée Macarons Pay Tribute to Sculptor César

In honor of the retrospective that is currently being held at the Centre Pompidou for French sculptor César Baldaccini, Ladurée created a special-edition set of Ladurée macarons and chocolates celebrating one of the artist's most legendary works—'Le Pouce' or 'The Thumb.'

The limited-edition 'César Box of 6 Macarons' is an artistic and giftable collectible that features classic macarons. The shells of the brown macaroon are accented with rum-flavored cream, topped with shreds of glazed chestnut and the fingerprint of the sculptor. The 'César Chocolate Box' contains shapely chocolate pieces that offer edible versions of the iconic Le Pouce work of art.

In Paris' largest business sector, La Défense, the 40-foot-tall thumb sculpture can still be found today.
