These gargantuan wine dispensers designed by Barreau et Charbonnet and Metalobil will give La Cîté Idéale festival goers a unique way to get their fill of wine, juice or water.
The wine installation will be located at the Royal Abbey of Fontevraud where the La Cîté Idéale festival will occur summer 2016. The dispensers are made from pine shingles that are fused together and hang from the ceiling at approximately six meters tall. The inspiration for the structures is said to be the mythological story of Romulus and Remus, who were nursed by wolves. Designers looked to incorporate the theme of this story with the Roman-like architecture of the building -- leading them to design udders that would provide patrons with an interactive and memorable experience.
In order to celebrate, people can alternate between different types of wine by pulling on the end of bags hidden inside, which will include white, rose and red.
