Kampgrounds of America (KOA) is installing wireless internet access at its North American campgrounds. KOA is the first chain of family campgrounds to offer its customers Wi-Fi that they can access from their sleeping bags.

RV ownership has increased 15% in the past four years and one in 12 vehicle owning households own an RV. The trend is fueled by active baby boomers starting their retirement years. As camping becomes the hobby of choice for many tech savvy boomers, KOA is giving its customers what they want, connectivity in the middle of nowhere.
