Kolmanskop is an abandoned town buried in Sand

Kolmanskop in Namibia is the perfect location for a Hollywood flick. A place with abandonded houses make it a ghost town. Few years back Kolmanskop was a town of hope and fortune. All it happened in 1908, when Kolmanskop was known for its diamond reservation, people came with hope to make fortune. They established a town with a casino, school, hospital and exclusive residential buildings in the desert. Unfortunately, after the First world war the sales in diamonds dropped and the importance of Kolmanskop started to decline. In 1950, the town was deserted and now Kolmanskop is a ghost town buried in sand.
